The position of your head could be causing you neck and upper back pain. A common posture these days is for the head to be forwards of the body known as chin poke position and the shoulders to be excessively rounded, most commonly seen in people who work at computers and who are sat down for long period of time. This posture creates tightness in the chest muscles, weakness in the upper back muscles and strain in to the neck muscles. This posture is often associated with tension headaches as well as neck and upper back pain. Taking a couple of minutes throughout the day to perform the neck stretches in the video below will help lengthen and realign the neck muscles reducing pain and headaches, give them a go.
